Modern Contrast Kitchen Design in Sierra Madre
Designer Spotlight: A Bold Modern Statement with Vicenza and Oiled Kendal Oak
At a private residence in Cedar Creek, Texas, modern sophistication takes center stage with a kitchen that artfully blends rich textures and clean lines. Designed as part of our Noble collection, this space features a bold interplay between Vicenza’s deep, matte surfaces and the natural warmth of Oiled Kendal Oak panels.
The design balances sleek modernism with organic comfort. Large windows flood the space with natural light, enhancing the contrast between the moody Vicenza finishes and the warm, inviting tones of the oak cabinetry.
“Our goal was to create a kitchen where contrast feels intentional, not overwhelming,” says Ana, the lead designer behind the project. “The Vicenza provides a crisp, modern base, while Oiled Kendal Oak softens the look, bringing in that timeless, grounded feel.”
A dramatic marble-look backsplash and matching waterfall island anchor the space, with delicate veining adding visual movement. Integrated appliances and minimalistic hardware maintain a streamlined appearance, while subtle architectural elements—like the slatted wood accents above the backsplash—add layers of depth and texture.
“It’s about balancing strength and softness,” Ana explains. “We chose materials that are as durable as they are beautiful, ensuring that the kitchen stays stunning and functional for years to come.”
Crafted with precision and care, this kitchen stands as a testament to modern design done right—bold, balanced, and built for living.
